Tim has more than 25 years of general management, venture capital and management consulting experience. Prior to joining InterOcean, Tim was a partner with two boutique, strategy consultancies: Louden & Co., dedicated to the health care industry, and The Arbor Strategy Group, which primarily serves the consumer industry. He led the development of corporate strategy and market/product launch strategies for numerous Fortune 100 and early-stage, venture capital-backed companies.
From 1988 to 1996 Tim was a vice president and partner with The Cerulean Fund(s) L.P., a seed capital fund serving the Chicago area, where he was responsible for investing and operating activities. He also served in an operating capacity with several major portfolio companies, most notably as president of a medical device company and as executive vice president of an entertainment company where he led the M&A and IPO efforts.
Tim began his career at Northwest Airlines, Inc. as an internal auditor for operations in North America, Europe and Asia. He then joined The Quaker Oats Co. in 1983 as a brand manager and provided leadership for several division brands. Tim was also one of the original company acquisition/brand members for Quaker’s flagship business, Gatorade.
