InterOcean Advisors, a Chicago-based boutique investment bank serving the manufacturing/industrial sector, is pleased to announce that Bruce Durkee has joined the firm as a Managing Director and will be based in the firm’s new office in Atlanta, Georgia.
“We are thrilled to have a professional of Bruce’s caliber and pedigree join the firm,” said Nick Newlin, Managing Director. “Bruce will enable InterOcean to develop a presence in Atlanta, from which we can better serve the Southeast market—an important region for manufacturing and industrial companies.”
Bruce will be responsible for business development and transaction execution leadership related to mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”), capital raising and financial advisory engagements.
A veteran investment banker, Bruce wields more than 20 years of M&A experience. Based in Atlanta, Bruce has held senior positions with several high-profile investment banking firms in the Southeast, including B. Riley FBR/Wunderlich Securities, Renova Partners, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey/The Robinson-Humphrey Company, and Wheat First/First Union Securities.
Additionally, Bruce spent 13 years in corporate banking with Wachovia, most recently as head of the London office.
Mr. Durkee holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Finance concentration) from the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia (Charlottesville).
