Kevin is a twenty-seven year veteran of the transportation industry with a strong technical background and senior management experience that has been leveraged to lead cutting edge technological and product developments for automotive OEMs and suppliers. His background includes large global corporations, government entities, and entrepreneurial and start-up company experience.

Most recently, Kevin served as the Executive Vice President of the Ventures and Innovation group within Magna International. Previously, Kevin held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of the Magna / Stronach Group joint venture and was a member of the E-Car Systems executive board.  Within this role he had overall responsibility for the development and direction of E-Car, including its three divisions: Energy Components, Energy Storage, and Lithium Ion Battery Cell manufacturing. Kevin joined Magna in October 2008 as Vice President North America and Asia for Magna Electronics, overseeing the development and supply of driver assistance systems, body electrical, and electric propulsion and energy management systems for hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and battery electric vehicles.

Prior to joining Magna, Kevin was President and Chief Executive Officer of BluWāv Systems, which was acquired by Magna in 2008. In this role, Kevin had complete responsibility for corporate development and commercialization of all transportation applications. BluWāv produced energy products including EV & HEV automotive components, off-vehicle charging components, and communications equipment.

Kevin also held executive management positions at Wavecrest Laboratories and Visteon Corporation, where he was responsible for creating and staffing the innovation division, which developed energy efficient by-wire applications in the areas of brakes, steering, driveline and interactive vehicle dynamics, and spent ten years working in engineering at the Ford Motor Company.

Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering from the University of Detroit, a master’s in electronics and computer control systems from Wayne State University, and an Executive MBA from the Advanced Management Program at Michigan State University. He is also in the process of completing an MBA in business turnaround management from the University of Detroit, and holds more than 40 patents.
