Bob has extensive senior management experience in commercial and military aerospace for both fixed wing and rotorcraft applications. Bob currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of XTI Aircraft Company, a company focused on bringing a family of vertical takeoff airplanes to market. Most recently, he served as the CEO of AgustaWestland North America, the US-based rotorcraft division of Leonardo – Società per Azioni (formerly Finmeccanica SpA), a global leader in rotorcraft design and production, and served on Leonardo’s executive committee. During his tenure, he transformed the division from an initial start-up into a major global business with $1.4 billion in contracts. Bob was directly responsible for the unit’s US government business and routinely interacted with the US Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and other key federal agencies. Prior to his leadership role at AgustaWestland, Bob held several significant leadership positions in the US Navy, including serving as commanding officer of the E-2 Hawkeye, C-2 Greyhound and S-3 Viking aircraft programs; commanding officer of Sea Control Squadron VS32; and multiple other Airwing leadership roles.
