Mike Szymaszek joins InterOcean to Support Manufacturing Industry Focus

InterOcean Advisors is pleased to announce that Mike Szymaszek has joined the Firm as a Senior Consultant.  Mike will support InterOcean’s efforts to develop mergers and acquisitions and capital raise advisory opportunities with manufacturers and distributors.  He will also participate in the Firm’s efforts to serve clients in the Flow Control industry.

Mike brings more than 40 years of manufacturing experience to InterOcean.  He recently retired from his position as President of Energy Manufacturing, a manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and valves for the mobile equipment industry, after 12 years leading the company through significant growth and transition.

His background encompasses a variety of leadership positions, including Regional Business Leader with P&L responsibility for a major division; Vice President of Operations; Director of Quality Assurance; and Manager of New Product Development.  Mike’s career includes 27 years in the electrical control and distribution industry with experience in international manufacturing, research and development, highly automated manufacturing, lean manufacturing, quality systems and acquisitions.

Mike has held management positions at several leading manufacturers in the Midwest U.S.:

› Square D/Schneider Electric (manufacturer of industrial automation, electrical control and distribution equipment)
› Goss Graphics (manufacturer of printing presses)
› APW (manufacturer of custom enclosures and electrical assemblies)
› Bucyrus (manufacturer of mining equipment)

Mike holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.  He also has a certificate in International Business from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Beta Gama Sigma National Honor Society.
